Pluto-Pathology: The Dark Side of
Human Sexuality
Sex and death are intimately paired in the psyche and are at the
root of how consciousness evolves. This talk will focus on
difficulties integrating the Taurus-Scorpio axis, and how sex
is both a metaphor and vehicle for transformation. Hard aspects
between Venus and Pluto may symbolize either a fear of intimacy
or a capacity for regenerative love. Learn why relationship
difficulties and sexual problems can be traced to a fear of
death, i.e., vulnerability to transformation that naturally
accompanies sexual intimacy.

Workshop with Glenn Perry:
"Finding the Beloved in the Birth Chart"
While our culture tends to define intimacy in broad generalities,
a natal chart reveals a relationship path unique to each individual.
Aspects to Venus help us to understand a person’s “love map.”
This workshop deconstructs some paralyzing assumptions about
what is "normal" while illuminating authentic relationship paths and
their various permutations. What psychological challenges do we
face in the quest for love? How does the beloved mirror back to us
the pattern of our own soul? In this workshop, we will first examine
the significance of Libra, Venus, and the 7th house, and then attempt
to integrate relevant chart factors into a coherent picture of relational
patterns. Specific attention will be given to how all relationships can
be considered karmic; that is, tending toward balance and wholeness.
We will study intimate relating as a sacred path · Venus as a
psychological function · aspects to Venus as core beliefs about the
beloved · the six necessary capacities for love · identifying obstacles
to intimacy · how the 7th house symbolizes the process and content
of relationship · outer planets and the quest for the mythical mate ·
oppositions as key relationship themes · predicting opportunities
for love and forecasting the timing of crises · helping clients resolve
conflicts and deepen their capacity for love. |
